Client: Fant Foundation | Agency: Yonts + Co

Since the Yonts + Co team is small, oftentimes having a client account means doing almost everything for them, top to bottom. That’s exactly how things functioned when I took over as manager of our client, the Fant Foundation.

The Fant Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by George and Chastity Fant to aid, strengthen and uplift today’s youth in their communities through events and engagement. George and Chastity are local Bowling Green legends. Both played basketball at Western Kentucky University, and George currently plays in the NFL for the New York Jets.

After starting the Fant Foundation, they came to us for all things marketing, design and web. Initially. my main task was to design and develop fantfoundation.org. Once the site was finished and launched, I stepped into the manager role and started handling design, projects, and any other need that arose.

We knew the main users of the website would be parents of youth served by the Fant Foundation. Because of that, we wanted simple navigation, detailed but concise  information, and clear CTAs. We also knew that mobile optimization would be a big factor for parents on the go, especially when they were seeking information or registering for events.

Our next big task after the launch of their website was preparing for Fant Foundation’s biggest event of the year, Dream Big Camp— a 3-day football and basketball camp that culminates with a free Celebrity Softball Game for the whole community.

We got to work building out a list and timeline of everything that needed to be accomplished before camp. Merch needed to be designed and ordered. Social and web graphics needed to designed, uploaded and shared. Registration needed to be added to, and tracked, through the website.

One of the reason I love working with Fant Foundation is that they trust me with design. Leading up to camp, I had been really inspired by creatives in the sports industry, and with George being an NFL athlete, the connection was seamless.

With our direction set, we got to work executing everything for camp. The first task was prepping the site. Copy, graphics and links were updated. Registration was set up to be opened. Next, we created a list of all the merchandise that needed to be ordered and in hand before camp. Hats, tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweat towels, water bottles, stickers, etc. were all designed and ordered, some branded with Dream Big Camp and others with Fant Foundation.

The final task was to create all graphic materials for camp. This was where I really got to execute my vision. Because of the lead-up to camp and the Celebrity Game, I ended up creating 50+ designs/graphics across social, print, web, and video. Designs were made for merchandise, social channels, ads during Bowling Green Hot Rods games, printed flyers, video board usage during the Celeb Game, and more.

Dream Big Camp boasted 300+ campers in attendance, the Celebrity Softball Game featured an NFL-studded roster, and now we’re prepping for Fant Foundation’s other upcoming events!

Below I’ve included a few of my favorite designs and links to the Fant Foundation’s social channels.
